like the title says, i'm sick of heroes loungign around in the base being used as a cheap-op-tower.
lets give them an actual use!
please offer some of your ideas as well as feedback..
oh and there will probably be a poll added to this topic soon to pick what to implement
how about we force players to complete some objectives outside of their base that will aid in their survival...
- for example let us spawn some support structures for the creeps and until they are destroyed they give some bonus to all creeps (like infinite range aura bonus or sth)(a strong bonus, to meet a strong boss while this is active could be lethal)
- give some stacking bonus that increases until the structure is destroyed but is allways in effect(a mild effect as long as killed in a timely manner)
- add some capturable locations on the map like facilities or such, risk like. so like there's some turret that u can capture or gold mine or sth and you fight with the creeps to maintain those.
- could also have something like the creeps support structure like i proposed earlier but to help the player in stead.. or they could be the same thing just aiding who ever owns them..
- the effects should probably depend on difficulty, noobs cant deal with the normal game much less the extra burden so higher modes would prolly make the effects more pronounced (migth also have different efficacy for survivors/creep so in easy mode it helps survivors more and in high diffs it helps creeps more)
- how about a structure that makes items cheaper to buy if u control it?(refund part of the money on purchase)
- a structure to increase your exp gain if controlled would prolyl be a hit it doesn't really help with survival but pro's woudl definitely have some motivation to travel the map a bit if it helped them rank up better, ranking up is slow later on afterall!
- a structure that slowly heals allied units could be effective, (like solar batteries effect but for everything.. also if creeps own it then bosses take ages to kill unless u got way OP damage )
