Hello! New person here,

For the Fortress Survival group, maybe give Disqus a shot? It's completely free and from the FAQ it says it can support however many people for free http://puu.sh/nzTXE/ce78cb695e.png

While I'm not sure if the voice server is free or not to set up, there's no lag and you can have multiple channels per group to keep it filtered nicely (eg: gameinvites/chat) as well as PMs

For people who don't want to download another program, this can be run in a browser.

Just a thought since I was told the Skype group doesn't work so well  :)

We have a 3rd-party chat service (chatango) as-well as a chatroom for members that login to the site. Both chat services are found at the bottom of the webpage. As far as using another chat service off-website, we have a steam group that is not active. It would be great if we could start pooling people over there and using steams chat/group service.

Steam chat has an afwul feature, it doesn't store the messages so anyone starting the computer, could see the chat history after last time. And also, is there a feature to autostart groupchat-room, if so, it might help ppl to stick there if the chat-room was opened automatically when computer starts for example.

Chatango has chathistory and everything, but also some random anonym trolls once for a while. I like the part though, that ppl with small or bigger problem, can throw the question there quick without too much effort. Chatango works well for that and sharing gamenames or such, but images, file-sharing, nope.

Skype chat would be perfect, but it has this terrible delay because of the P2P passing on, if you haven't added like 100 ppl from the group :)

Maybe there should be a "sync bot", a bot that has every person from fs skype-group added and would act as a link for those who only have few persons added. I have no idea, if that would really help though..

I have Disqus run on when my computer starts if that's what you're asking. It also allows all forms of file sharing i think (atleast the ones that matter) and every message is there when you log on, whether you were there for them or not. I can't say I know why but I've never seen a steam group work out >.<

Honestly I know very little about chatango...
