Hey,
In another thread there was some talk about tower vs units, you can fit 4 units in a place of 1 tower, both are weak early on etc..
Bunker is maybe one of the least used buildings that i can think of, it got upgrades, some hp and armor but still, feels pretty useless atm. I think it could be more than that.
What if you could place units inside a bunker, so they could actually shoot (bunker would gain the damage of the units). And since 4 units can be placed in a space of 1 bunker/tower, imagine if you could fit for example 6 units in a structure that would not only protect them from nasty AoE dmg or ranged creep-attacks but also increase the dps-density of the units, while possibly adding some upgradable buffs.
Bunker's dmg and attackspeed could be bounded with marines stats and unit upgrade "ranged unit dmg" would increase bunkers damage same way. Total damage would be something like units_inside x dmg_of_marine(including ranged unit dmg upg).
Possible bunker-upgrades: Range +50, +100, +150, +200, attackspeed +10%, +20%, +30%, +40%, Multishot 1, 2, 3,4 additional targets with 30% of total dmg, miss-chance-debuff for enemy being hit, and so on and so on. Maybe bunker's unit-spots 5 and 6 would also appear just after upgrades "1 extra spot", "2 extra spots". Option to shoot only-air when needed?
When placing unit inside bunker, there should be checking that which type of unit it holds atm, for example bots shouldn't increase dmg
In my opinion that would offer bunkers a lot more usability, what do you think?
