When Fortress Survivors get bored and want to play endless waves, it would save us lots of energy and prevent us from getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for a extra few months/years...by not having to click on the lumber <--> gold exchange bottom from item shop.

I have been playing endless waves till the game crash with other players a few times usually about 7~9 hours each game with goals to take over the map by killing mobs at where they appear (middle and 4 directions). How to survive endless waves on Mad, Impossible, or even Nightmare mode? It's as challenging as to defeat Eternia especially the amount of mobs increase significantly with multiple players, and the experience you get is not more than what you get in easy mode. However, it's fun to try sometimes.

In lots of RPG, castle defense, and more games, you can probably recognize that they have the auto lumber to gold exchange code, a bank system, or manually exchange option big enough with ratio like... 100,000 lumber to 2500 gold. If player's purpose is to utilize spaces for the whole map, it will take a while, but it's not necessary for someone to sit in front of the computer for 9 hours... even airplane has autopilot system. When you are stable in a smaller area and doing other activities outside of game screen at the same time, it will be a pain in the ass to click on the resource exchange bottom when you get back to screen and try to expand the base... However, considering the reduction of resource after exchange from gold to lumber, and the 3,000 books limitation on tomes of knowledge, I would suggest the code to be written like...when lumber reaches to a number such as 750,000 or high, 250,000 or a part of the total number (750,000) will be automatically transfer/exchange to gold, so extra lumber won't be wasted after max value collected.

Considering the factors to do endless waves such as a base big enough to fit enough lumber mills, base on the edge or in the corner to defend less sides, and units stable enough to maintain high damage output and/or secure the emergency situation, I am using Security Room for an example, although it's not the best base to choose for waves. In Security Room, you can have at least 180 -wps without worrying about lumber mills being attacked, and you can collect lumber from 0 to 1,000,000 max in about an hour to an hour and half. Usually for a base in the corner, you have 3 openings to defend, any hero with elemental stone will be enough to take care of a opening when the armor defense is higher than 1200~1600 (may need more in higher difficulties or less if using walls to help defend or have vampire aura...) There's no unit as good as the Great Myrmidons from the Harbor's quest for its super fast HP regeneration rate and passive Bash ability. That being said, melee units such as bodyguard and commander cannot hold the damage from mobs with 6 cursed armors for long, and medics cannot heal and regenerate MP fast enough. While you cannot guarantee that snipers, tanks, or other units with fair damage output won't be attacked all the time, it's point less to use any combination of the units mentioned, and walls are at higher cost (of attention/time) to secure openings and less stable than using units. Walls with cursed armor+ 3 repair bots can still be destroyed on normal mode, the most ideal solution is to have high damage output to kill mobs fast. Items to increase HP regeneration is highly recommended for "non-hero unit" otherwise killing Eternia cannot be easier...

And I have pictures to show that FS is such a good game for players to kill time...

p.s. don't confront me when I used the word "kill time" since not many people in the world really know what they are doing...

Overall, just a suggestion

A higher ratio for lumber to gold may be good. But i'm not sure about the auto one, as it may cause bugs.
