Base bonuses

I feel like a base in this game should definitely be something special in the sense that everyone should have a main or signature base and although the overall feel of a base can define it I think that there should be more base bonuses. With that being said I'm going to throw out some base bonus ideas but please feel free to post your own and make comments on mine.

 

I think it would be cool if there were 2-3 bases around the map that would allow you to train a hero regardless of rank if you based there such as Shadow sniper ( lots of noobs aren't even rank 7 and being able to at least play some other heros they haven't been able to use could encourage them to start saving their codes even though it only takes a second.. ) Commander and astronomer with each of these being exclusive to the base so Shadow sniper but not commander or Astronomer being able to be trained at one only commander at another and only astronomer at another. I think it would encourage people to learn new bases if it meant being able to use a higher rank hero

 

It would be cool if the fountain in the gathering hall gave off mana regeneration or something so that people who claimed the alchemist in the mailroom could possibly base there while having increased mana regeneration for this claimed alchemist. I feel like that could make that a more popular base if that were an available bonus.

 

Since black larcenies have been nerfed in the 6.43 change log maybe have a black larceny spawn in one of the cages in the torture chamber at the 26 or 28 minute mark. ( if claimed )


A bonus where an alien type egg spawns in either the middle or one of the corners of that base and when you claim the base it starts to hatch over a period of a couple minutes and when it hatches you can either get 3 repair bots, an alchemist or a tiny level 3 lumber mill item  ( random every time )

It doesn't have to be an alien egg it could be a mystery box with a giant M on it for all I care that's not the point lol

I wouldn't have a problem with signature bases, I actually think it'd be pretty cool!  :)

IF IT WASN'T TURNED INTO A SHIPYARD/PIRATE'S DEN!  >:(   Pirates in my little cubby corner... Hmph!

I mean signature bases are already out there... people make a base there main base/signature base is what I meant. Base bonuses are just to help bases that people never go to more known/viable

I don't know if it can be done, but another possible base bonus could be extra bounty for kills so 2 lumber per kill instead of one. Any other ideas for base bonuses?

hmm... different bounty for different bases could definitely be done :)

 

.. also.. i think it might be a good idea to differenciate based on rank as well?

A bounty system based on rank could be a good idea to help out average or newer players so.... Lower rank = higher bounty from kills.. I think highest bounty for kills should be 3 lumber and then 2 and then it defaults at 1 lumber per kill for max rank people or like people past 40 cause anything higher than 3 seems like too much?

A nice bonus for the tree base would be for there to be 2 claimable wisps that help you collect lumber from the trees, just like in Bnet games they wouldn't do any harm to the trees. The lumber collection would start off scaling to that of a lumber one lumber mill and then max out to be = to a level 3 LM through upgrades

nice wisp idea :) .. problem is there are few bases actually with places for trees. :)
We could make it available in Merc Tent .. ( Making units a bit more useful ) .. and make it cost like 50 wood and it does 1 wood every 10 or 20 sec.

Um. I'm talking about the tree base that is right next to bottom left corner. The whole base is surronded by trees and wisps do no harm to trees so they could harvest from 1 tree the whole time. There's no issue because the bonus is just meant for that 1 exclusive base. Thus giving it something other bases do not

That idea is awesome! Now that you guys have made "-exile dg" unoperational, to make ppl actually play on the base they've claimed.

Adding some more features to some bases would make this work very well.

 

 

I also like this idea(modified). I think it should be placed on a really hard base to defend( two entrances preferably ).

The Egg could work like a quest, giving lumber to it's protector. The longer you protect it, more lumber it would give you.

 

Again, this should be a mission of team effort, so it should be placed on a really large base, so no one would be able to do it alone.

Also liked that. The whispers could be upgradable, so at the beginning, they could give the same amount of lumber as a lvl 2 lumber mill.
The final state could be of a lvl 6 lumber mill, because if it reached a lvl 7, would be too OP.
