Maybe this game pissed me off so much because my produce was so slow or because people distracted me the whole game but this is the most painful game I've ever finished. My produce was slow and I got EVERYTHING. Nightmare air/invis 6.43. Also follow the game chat... the stuff these guys say is pretty amusing
Never seen a pro before

Well I was unable to follow the game chat (8x speed ), but it's pretty easy to tell that they would not shut up even for a second.
Also, who needs to have 4 people in a base to survive hardest; I'd say 3 is the max if you want to take it easy.
And why did they have 2 wallers, one would be better.
Guess we'll never know.
P.S. I'm never going there (Z-88) if you or someone else bases there in a game from now on.

I don't really see how something within this was insulting (unless it was in game chat [which I didn't pay attention to, but should have been addressed there if it was in that]).
Noob isn't an offensive term, getting every single mob would annoy the hell out of me, and all the text really clutters the screen.

I suppose you have a point, you could say I overreacted, I was in a terrible mood today and having someone kick me out of their base because of this stupid post in Fortress Survival didn't make it any better. I also based in that same spot that Filthy did in the replay and managed to get to trojan with the same mode and everything, though I also noticed there's a glitch in that location which I will post in the glitch forums.

A few things to note about this replay, in case these guys make another eternia run...
- The guy that built the regular barricade walls should have been upgrading wall armor throughout the game, not focused on wall level first and then wall armor. If you have mithril walls and 0 wall armor when stealer shows up at your base, you would still die. Because you didn't have any wall armor for so long, your lumberer had to feed you more lumber early in the game, which had negative effects on his produce.
- Gravity Throwers are excellent LONG RANGE towers. However, being built so close to the wall was rather pointless, because flame/assassin/earth towers would have dealt more damage, as well as having better effects. Also, a cold tower can be a good idea to help mitigate boss damage.
- The waller that used regen walls... I'm gonna have to break this into multiple comments.
- You BRUTALLY crippled your lumberer with that ridiculous stall. Regenerating walls as your main wall is acceptable in 6.43. I've played through nightmare without towers or repairs and been fine. But you built an extra 15 walls as part of a stall, spent 12 lumber on 12 of them, and more than 400 on the last 3. This resulted in the last 3 walls holding for awhile, but when they fell, the 12 behind it each got one hit, and you had to start rushing upgrades on your main wall. In order to protect your main wall long enough for it to upgrade, you had to buy more regenerating walls from the vendor. In short, all of the lumber spent on the walls other than your main wall was a waste, and demanding so much lumber so early in the game devastated your lumberers produce. That's not a good idea during an eternia attempt.
- A stall can be a great tool, but it isn't suppose to last the whole match the way you were trying to make it. It's suppose to last a few minutes, so you can get an early start on lumber and other utility buildings. However, since you had a lumberer, and only one entrance, the stall was totally unnecessary.
- Lastly, when using regenerating walls as a main wall, it makes no sense to use them as a stall as well. The main walls have more towers to cover it, repairs to help keep it up, and is within range of the aura statues. Devoting any lumber toward a stall weakens your main wall. The lumber you spent on your stall would have been better used for mechanics and repair bots, which would have significantly increased the strength of your main wall.
- For a base like that, you should only have one waller. This means that you would have had 3 lumberers, and only had to purchase a single set of wall armor/health upgrades. It would have saved a great deal of lumber, had the walls been properly upgraded.
- If you use the tinker hero to keep your walls alive, you should simply right click his healing ability to toggle it, and he will then cast it on any buildings/units in range when they are damaged.
- In order to qualify for the elemental stone, you need 60k lumber produced OR 300 kills OR the killing blow.
- Filthy was right when he said exterminators wouldn't work. Even if the elemental staff was already broken, eternia would have blasted the whole group of them away with a single shot and they wouldn't have even put a dent in her health. The strategy Filthy was trying to use was to let eternia focus on destroying a wall, and healing that wall with repair keys while using the hero to kill eternia. The only issue is that the base was too small, so when eternia hit the wall, splash damage killed everything.
- Toming a hero is still a way to make your heroes stronger, but they are much more expensive now, and it would have taken 337.5k lumber to buy all of the 1.5k tomes needed to max him out. I suggest rereading Erdam's lumber guide a few dozen times if you want to max tome a hero.
- Blue and yellow did alright with their lumber, for using the alchemist units. However, their produce was crippled since they were having to overfeed wallers who wasted most of what they were given. But there is a good bit of room for them to improve their lumber strategies.
- One thing that you can do in order to make things easier on yourselves is to put wings on your walls when you unlock the item slots (granite/everlasting walls) for them. That +10 armor is basically 2 free armor upgrades.
- If you claim units at the start, leaving them behind a flimsy little stall and letting them die in the first few minutes isn't very effective. You're better off hiding them behind your main wall, where repair bots would go, until you're ready to start building repair bots.
Overall, you guys have a lot to learn. If you do make another attempt at eternia, I suggest you take the time to educate your waller(s) beforehand, or else your lumber production will be too low for you to succeed. If Filthy hadn't been in the game to kill every single boss and almost every single creep, your base wouldn't have even survived the first 10 minutes.
