Guide 1 :

Build A Base , Build Factories then Build A Lumber Mill and Upgrade it to level 2 as fast as you can,

Try To Get a Gold Mine on 40th Minute , and then Wait and you Can Get it.

Guide 2 :

Build A Base , Build Factories , Try to Get like 32 level 2 tiny mills ( using alchemist ) , you will have 10-12 gold from bosses, and when you get 500 wood buy 10 gold and buy 3 others with 150 gold

Guide 3 : Build A Base , Build Factories , Get Mills , Get Book Shelfs , Wait to get Some books , then Sell Them u will have enough wood to get the gold needed and then buy The Staff

Suggestion : Adjust The Staff Price to 30 gold and 650 Wood.

Also gold mine will only give one gold instead of two, which doesn't kill that method, but most certainly hurts it.

Edit: Current price is 25 gold 500 lumber Waffle.

i would agree with dwarflard, you do not want to rush a gold mine if you (in stage 3) are suggesting we "buy gold".

Might as well use the lumber which you would have built on the gold mine to make better mills and then use the level 4 mill you have which isnt a gold mine to produce more lumber which is helping production.

Really can't see why you'd want to "rush" a gold mine.

I tend to rush the gold mine right after I build a full set of 32 lvl 2 mills, the one gold it builds seems to make up for it as far as upgrading all my mills faster.  It doesnt seem to detrimental in my mass lumbering in the beginning anyways.

It currently produces two gold per cycle, which is probably why you find it more effective. It'll still be worthwhile when it produces one gold like it should in the next release, but perhaps not in the same way.

Late to the party but I don't care. Trying to rush a goldmine at the 40 minute mark is one of the most absurd strategies I have ever heard. No matter how good your produce is, it's going to hurt set back your mill upgrading production and getting a goldmine that early isn't even needed because if you have good produce lumber in general isn't a problem so you can just buy the rest of the gold you need in order to get a rainbow staff. Also, trying to rush a goldmine after your first 32 lumber mills are level 2 is just as bad because why would you learn a goldmine that's not going to start giving you gold for the 2 minutes it has to tech when you can be upgrading 18 lumber 2 mills to 3 which is going to help your economy much more.

I feel like a level 4 lumber mill should be turned into a goldmine at the 35 or 33 minute mark at the quickest but I only start teching my goldmine once I have all my 32 level 4s upgrading and then keep it a level 1 GM so that I can get all the gold possible from it for LT stealer and then buy the rest of the gold to get the rainbow staff. But the price is good where it is, people are just used to the extra gold bug from 6.42. There is no effective way to get a goldmine that quick without hurting your economy which is why a pro would get tech a goldmine without hurting his economy at all I.E after 32 level 4s. I would say that I rush a goldmine every game and the reason you would want to do it is to get enough gold for LT stealer to buy a staff or black larceny if that's how you want to kill him.

Actually rushing level 1 goldmine is probably the most effective way to boost your eco. Though you'll have to chain transmute it for faster income.

An effect strategy to rush a goldmine depends on a lot of things like the size of the base, the amount of lumber mills you intend to make after your 3 level 7s and so on because no matter what you do ' Rushing ' a goldmine is going to slow your income in the beginning. Rush obviously meaning going out of your way to get it normally than you do but It really doesn't matter because if income isn't an issue income isn't an issue. Needless to say I find myself with about 15 gold from my goldmine alone when LT stealer comes out because I sell any early gold I get.

Getting a level 1 goldmine 2 or even 3 minutes quicker is hardly going to make a difference because it slows your lumber production and mill upgrades. Having more lumber produce is always going to be better because in the end you just end up buying the majority of your gold regardless. Even while mass transmuting your goldmine the difference between a level 1 goldmine 2 or even 3 minutes earlier is practically negligible and more detrimental to your lumber produce

On another note, if you feel like you need to rush a goldmine before you've started upgrading your first 32 lumbermills to level 4 you're produce isn't quick enough to begin with. Because I feel like that no matter what the best time to upgrade your level 4 lumber mill to a GM is after you've started upgrading your first 32 LMs to 4 which doesn't take long to begin with so at the very first you start producing gold at the 32-33 minute mark. Don't upgrade it until LT stealers been alive for like a minute and you'll have around 15 gold ( not taking the 2 gold glitch into account ) for LT stealer and you can just buy the rest for a staff but you should have so much excess lumber at that time that it won't matter anyways

The 2 gold glitch makes rushing goldmine that much more effective obviously. Have you tried it or are you just assuming/theorizing it's uneffective?

I'm not really assuming. My logic is solid. Rushing a goldmine at the 40 minute mark is absurd without the 2 gold glitch and in no way helps you catch up in lumber produce unless you sell the gold but even then you're taking a 10 lumber loss. I would say that teching a goldmine at the 40 minute mark puts your lumber produce 5 minutes behind or more and would only help you in the end if you ended up with 60 WPS or more.

I would very much be interested in WPS results as they relate to Goldmine rushing versus not rushing a gold mine
