There have been countless topics to ask or suggest new features of all sorts.

And there have been a ton of bug reports..

 

But there's not much feedback of what you think about our past decisions..

 

So now i ask that you share with us your favorite (or least favorite) aspects and what you think we really nailed..

and what you think we shot ourselves in the foot with..

After 2 weeks of playing it I can give you some feedback.

 

I like how for completing the game you get rewards e.g. the wings. This makes this game unique because I have never seen game on warcraft with this kind of system. :wub:

 

When first time I played it, I didnt know what to do. I could only survive the first 10 minutes on very easy mode. To improve that you could make some STANDING OUT hints, like when the screen loads you could say VISIT THIS FORUM TO GAIN SOME SKILLS (in big font and red colour so everybody reads it).

 

I hope this help in future development.

Favorite: Buffed bosses (assuming this counts even though it's still in beta).

 

Least Favorite: The evasion on Pheng/Trojan/Najort/Behemoth in 6.30.

Alright lets see....i have played some beta versions of 6.42 and i see u guys have puted in some new awesome rooms.....but i also see alot of useless space on the map that can be used to make new rooms.

 

Let me tell u the areas:

top/left of map there is a pretty big space of useless water, a good idea would be too make a ISLAND BASE with some sort of bridge to enter it. Like keep the water and space but make a room in middle of water surround the base.

 

Also there is a big size of space at the harbor, should fix that base cause no1 bases there.....

and the water around is ALOT, could make many rooms down there or another good TB room for teamchallanges.

 

I would love to see a ISLAND BASE, that would be cool (topLeft)

What i like most: New items , actually All the new stuff..

 

What i don't like..: elemental stone was added, with it the staff. its 6.42 soon and its still not added. Waaay too many bugs.. i mean to be honest. the versions take long time .. if needed i'd like to wait more then have a bugged version -.-..

What i would like to see in new versions: Code wipe, More items,

 

What i would like to get rid of in new versions. -unclaim command UNLESS you got double claim perk.

Some really good points from everyone.  The reward system is quite amazing if you think about it.  In general, this game has so many good concepts whether having option to build towers or build an army.  I noticed in the older versions, they made a cinematic for the trojan, which I think would be pretty cool to re-implement that.  I still know they need to make some units more useful, more choice of heroes, and most of all RANK needs to have more perks then just mana regen

 

Either way, keep up the good work to all the developers, web designers, and creator.

I don't think it was very often, but Trojan entrance cinematic used to bug out sometimes; camera would pin to the northern portal where he spawned and stayed there until it was done. But it was a nice feature.

 

Also, even though it was a really small thing that I doubt many people noticed, I liked the little intro music that lasted for like 30 seconds when game started.

elem staff is IN for next release.

 

Music files are really big compared to the map size tho, i once managed to make a map that only had like 2 minutes of music in it.. and it was past the war3 battle.net size limit. u could dial down the quality till it fits i guess buts its still a huge waste of space (even tho it was nice..). every added KiB increased download and startup times and the unprotected map is already over 4 megabytes.. (prot at 2.8 MiB)

Favorite improvement: Additions of stuff you get for completing the game.

 

Thing which i still think "could" be adressed:

A difficulty modifier. i.e if you're new, and someones picked impossible, things are going to be pretty nasty. You could watch the replay of people successfully getting somewhere or you can think "well this sucks" and do something else.

 

I am unsure how possible it is, but adding commands -easiest, easier, harder, hardest which then creates a flying ward which increases/decreases defense by 10/30 (or whatever you balancing guys decide on) and possibly some small amount of regeneration (1% maybe) in your area only could be interesting. I would suspect you would need to -claim an area first then type it.

 

Would also give people here something new to attempt: Nightmare difficulty with -hardest on

 

 

But the main idea of it is to encourage new players. We're getting too many harder difficulty modes coming up because we have more and more players trying to do eternia, more players trying to defeat harder modes to get themselves ready to try against eternia, but very little games of encouraging new.

Actually i gotta say .. that with the latest update the game became alot easier. i mean now u can easily solo eterina with just 2 players.

but me and BabyMichael kill eternia nearly every game... 

 

EDIT:

i we did that on 6.41 also..

new wall upgrades just mean you can do other things than just tome your hero.

(ps we will certainly change rep keys around)

 well .. the wall upgrades just make eternia Fairly easy .. since they tank her.

Previous version maybe 2 maxed heros would have killed her  .. but with the new one .. only 1 maxed hero and 1 Maxed wall is all  u need + some keys ofc.

This game needs to be more protective. Guy named HighOverShisha has hacked this game and got a rank 50 in one game by killing 500 Demonic Etarnia. In my opinion, when somebody types in a cheating command should get automatically kicked from the game e.g. -copy 999, -gold 999, -lumber 999 etc. This game becomes very boring when most people in the game have rank 50 and all the achievements. I hope you will look forward this ant-cheating thing xD

if u knew how war3 maps are made u would know that it is impossible to truly protect a map.

 

you need be 4 years old to be thwarted by ANY map protector.

 

simple thing.. don't play hacked versions..

and don't use the hax.. 

 

also how would we know what a "cheating command" would be? you don't need any knowledge of the map to modify player resourses.. just a 2-liner trigger

it might be -lumber 92391 now.. but it might be -ihaxedthismapsomakemewin tomorrow...

i think .. the commads "cede" and "-kill" should be redone or removed

and instead we can replace them with a button or skill on each building where u can give ownership of building to another player 

and a button or skill where u can destroy building.

since usage of "-kill" "-cede" fucks up the game for everyone for at least 10 sec .. i would love such commands to be removed.

 

 i really loved the idea of them .. but with cuz war3 is fucked up .. using them ... is just sososososo buggy.

turning them into abilities sounds like it has merit..

(can easily make sure all cedable/killable units have the ability)

and no chance of accidentally killingyour precious lvl7..

ya that's mainly the idea .. also it should not make the Game buggy .. as when u use Cede alot u haave a couple of secounds wasted after each usage.

 

 

 

 

 

Um .. Also if u can make Wood sending  using "k" 

 

like -l red 10k

"buggy"?

it works as intened.. and you are the FIRST one that i know of to complain about lag at that moment..

 

also lag is NOT same as bug, infact they are completely UNRELATED concepts.

 

a bug is a software or hardware error.

lag is latency, delay between an input and a response.

 

unless i get any more reports, this is graveyarded..

oki .. let me explain .. When i use -cede or -kill commands .. if i cede an alch for example .. and the Pick my hero for a few seconds the alch is following all commands i give to my hero .. Thou i am not selecting it and dnt have share.. its just moving around following my heros actions .. then i have to deselect hero and Select something else .. sometimes it's fixed right away and other times i have to repeat deselecting and selecting.. until finally the united i Cede away doesnt follow the actions of the unit currently under my control.

 

Also when i cede away "Buildings or units" sometimes for a period of time i can;t Upgrade 3-4 lumber mills while rest can be . no matter how much i deselect and

re-select the mills for upgrading.

 

 

 

Conclusion the usage of Cede and kill commands Fuck up the selection process for a couple of sec to an extent of a minute sometimes.
