Kinda new here, been playing for about 3 days. I got some questions, can u please answer if possible? Thanks

 

1.) How do I get other heroes?

2.) How do I increase my rank?

 

3.) I usually play at home, if I increase my rank playing at my house and I want to play with my friends in the computer shop, how do I bring my increased rank with me?

-save every game

look into (64 bit windows)

C:\progra~2\Warcra~1\Fortre~1

OR (32 bit windows)

yes they valid .. and yes thereis longer vers of them but just copy paste em and ull be right place... 

unless. u put ur war3 some strange place..

 

save code is derived on rank, achievements, experience, PLAYER_NAME. it doesnt care for the computer at all (other than u might forget to bring the codes with you)

if you want instant access to codes at all times i recommend adding your fortress codes directory to a syncing service ( i use SugarSync but u can do it with Dropbox or other services also)(DB needs bit more work than SS tho)

Does defeats count as experience also for increasing my rank?

defeats don't matter

its about how good u were during the game (strictly speaking there r' still ways to gain exp while survivor is dead even tho it rarely makes a difference. except eternia killing (if u can survive nightmare difficulty.. then it will matter))(ull see what that means if u dig deep into these forums long story.)

 

u get exp for 

• kills
• lumber produced
• special checkpoints (killing end bosses is an example where everybody gets exp)
• you need be alive to get exp for some things.
• quests ( todo )

Also, how many -save can u use per game?

-save is unlimited

i'm not sure if quests give exp yet.. thats why i said its on TODO

btw -load is also unlimited tho it will lover ride everything from last load.. they don't stack i think..

(it was meant that they should MERGE but that was a huge hole of bugs .. :'( )

I just played earlier, does easy mode rank differ from normal mode rank?

 

I was rank 1 exp 4 from easy then I played normal rank 0 exp 38

Did you load the most recent save you had? There's no reason for your rank to decrease, that bug has been fixed.

 

And no, different difficulties don't have their own set of codes.

that bug only occurred on rank 25.

only reason i can think of is u used old code.

tho at that exp difference its bout 1 games work to outdo i guess..

I think you might have misread your rank... you start at one. Not sure how you'd end up at 0

rank 0 and 1 shouöld have same name.. but yes.. u should also start really.. with rank 1..
