I have been reading the forums and everyone is talking about bases like the summer cottage, science lab and stuff. can anyone help clarify what those bases actually provide? thks much

Well Summer Cottage is a normal base with no special effects, Science Lab gives more damage to towers (dont know exact % buff).
Headquarters (bottom left) gives 4 attacking turrets when claimed.

science lab gives pretty OP damage boost to towers.. 50% i think it could even have been..

 

has blue doodads all round the edge of it
