Amount of bosses to player count and difficulty.

The thing i quite like about fortress survival, is that when some bosses spawn, you NEED to be prepared, you need to have some form of micro and to have got the walls/defenses up.

 

What if "all" bosses were like that? but if there's fewer players, less of them spawn.

 

 

 

For currently, the early game of FS is somewhat easy. I very rarely have any issues with getting started unless i get to greedy with my lumber upgrades and totally neglect the walls. The only difficult heroes are snowman, tauren and warden.

 

 

I personally would like to see a bit more "randomness" with the bosses. So that each time you play, different bosses spawn and you get attacked by different bosses. At the moment all bosses just spawn and generally attack the guy with the most walls.

 

 

So as title suggests, my ways of doing both:

1. Make all bosses actual bosses. Make them threatening. What if dreadbane kahn had 50% less hp, but immediately started destroying all the stuff in your base on arrival? i would certainly start focusing him. What if skrassh and the tentacles all focused one player and had double the damage? you'd need to be prepared in case it was you being attacked.

 

2. Make it random by if there is less players, less of them spawn, in general, 2-3 should spawn per player.

 

3. Make bosses which ONLY appear with 8+ players, but always appear with that many players.

 

So there are still new battles in each game.

Sounds like a nice idea.

I like the idea with nr.3 make bosses appear with the number of players that are in the game. 

More challangeing and fun to see happend.

Cool Idea.. Tyrant Behemoth Commander will have Umbra at 8 players :P

i like the idea but i think if it's gunna be implanted then it should be a selectable mode.

I would agree, it does seem a bit of a "downgrade" in some sense that instead of goodness knows how many bosses we're down to ~8 per game, but really at it's current state, there are no "bosses" as they're mostly too easy.

 

 

Personally, i think it needs to be either implemented or not used, no inbetween "would be a cool mode", because we have modes and in general, public games will not have air. We also have a slightly complex selection start, where you decide difficulty/air/invis, we don't need to make it longer. 3 is literally the maximum or it actually becomes a bother.

I know :D. All work but no pay. I think fsa players would donate more so they would be inspired in making the game more exciting :D

What? the game works properly, the fact is they release it with many bugs. They have to make sure that it has no bugs.

"They"? Its only Nevo and cut him some slack, he has to do everything alone. Bugs are normal.. though I must admit that he should have beta'd with some testers before releasing 6.20 and yes, some of his decisions were a bit... I'd say stupid or just applied without thinking about the consequences. But I can understand him, he doesnt play this game that often.

 

You would probably faint if you saw the amount of lines of code in GUI and Jass that are used in FS, the smallest change can mess a complex system up. Keep in mind that not everyone is a "god" like you and I believe he is under a lot of stress since he lost all of his dev's recently.

I should have beta tested before releasing however I did have a bunch of people messaging me and demanding a release per say... so what the hell... I'll try better for 6.30. FYI, I've been busy with School recently if anyone was wondering.

 

 

 

Loosing all my Dev's recently has shown me how immature and childish people can be and how they love escalating things. Keep in mind, I'm not at my computer 24/7 and I have other personal things going on. If you can't understand that, then It doesn't affect me. I hardly have the time for this and look how much I've put in recently and of course many of that is thanks to the current situation. You can either appreciate it or not... :)

After all is our fault for asking nevo release ASAP . hope you accept my apologies !  :o

Nevo you can do 1 week beta test before Officially release the map to public and the map will be release at weekend saturday or sunday just so you can get more free time for your personal life also put a release date will be better than making other people keep coming back and ask over and over again. recently at garena no one hosting Fortress Survival even we create it no one going in for download nor waiting to play . I think the reason is Red bug that getting less population . Nevo go rest more  :D and sorry for all the trouble .

Nice, but if there are many newbies and your idea will focus in 1 base, the newbie will die.
