I have seen quite a number of threads regarding losing of wings and trojan roar and personally, I have also lost quite a number of wings and roars.
Although this can be fixed (by loading the old code with the wings/roar first followed by loading the code with the higher progress and rank), but it may be too troublesome for some and they rather not do it.
So why not make a new item called the Permanent Wings and Permanent Trojan Roar? Players just have to submit their replays on the forum and in the next version, they will have the item preloaded in their game account (something like the Silverling). This will not only increase forum activity, but also help people that are frustrated by losing their items.
Of course the current wings and roars will still be there, but only temporarily, maybe you guys can change it to make it load ONCE only and it cannot be loaded again. (not sure if you can do that) Or just stick with the current thing and only adding new permanent items. (but ensure that one player cannot have both temporary and permanent items at the same time)

You got a great big HUGE bug and what u want to do... fix it maybe?
NO you want the mappers who've worked so hard should just leave the bug in, make a big clumsy workaround and spend the rest of their life bloating the map with lists of nicknames..

Just use your previous load code from your last game that your survivor has the wings and roar. Sometimes that happens, but I hope that bug would be fixed in future versions.
