I really love this game.
But I was wondering what you get when you get promoted (level up)
I know you can train new hero's when you are a specific level but is that just it or is there more?
Also are the new hero's better then the first 2?
Please let me know

1) Mana regen bonus for hero, very useful..
2) heroes..
3) .. reserved for anything i might have forgotten..
Hope more will come..
Also when you beat the game on a very difficult mode you get a bonus item for next games.(Trojans roar(stun all creeps), Wings of behemot(lets u fly rly fast)).
Shadow sniper is quite OP damage wise. has Metamorphois + adrenaline that can clear the fron of your base very effectively + 20s cooldown nuker ability "Shadow cannon"
Alchemist is of little use in a fight (altho ha can save 1 wall from destruction and root creeps) but the transmute ability means u can do really nice power lumbering (think a circle of factories all speeding up a handfull of mill constructions)
Tinker: can repair walls (quite powerful repair, but drains mana a LOT, may use the tree of vigor to counter this later) ofc can transform to other form.. and can enchant worker so next building is instant(useful but very long cooldown)
EDIT: the more generous donators can also get a custom hero and 1 special ability that all of his heroes get (player name based). Please corect me if im off here..

Currently, Ranks give you:
In 6.00e (no planned release date yet), Ranks will give access to:
- +0.1 mana/second regen on hero per rank
- More hero choices

You say that the alchemist can save a wall? how?

Alchemist has an ability that heals a wall (40%?) and makes it invulnerable for a few seconds. has a long cooldown tho.
Marine hero had that same ability once i believe.
Alchemist hero has 1 main use: free infinite transmutation abilities that you can use the second you have constructed your first mill.
This means you can surround a spot with a ton on repair units/factories and build mills at a rate of 1/3 per second or more even.
I have taken this (as lumberer role) to the height of 5*lvl7 lumber mills and nearly 100 000 total lumber produced (exceeded 100k shortly after behemot kill).

they need lvl4 mills to combine to lvl6
and if you build tround 1 factory.. you cant reuse that spot untill its a lvl6
it wont combine if it touches any other lumbers(no speedbuild)

gives lvl 7 mill that is a LOT better than lvl 6, gives 11 lumber/s also takes same room as lvl6 so better density.
the lvl5 mills in that recepie are minified mills so u can build them off site and arrange for the time of combine.
EDIT: it is impossible to combine lvl6 mills to a lvl 7 mill.
