Well since Niwa is going to fix this. I just think this is stupid

It won't happen, even if ppl would donate for it... that's why the base will not be renamed to "the rats nest"

I think only the creators or editors of the map should get anything named after them.

I thought the rats nest was fine seeing how it was a tiny "carved out hall" kinda base, completely ignoring the fact that thefilthyrat exists lol

Exactly, but everyone else was strongly against it.
Even B-14 (The Nest) would have suited the base's name way better than simply B-14 Alpha.
It would be nice if we had less generic names for bases.
When someone talks about a base like "I like W-62". People will be like... wut? Where is that?

yea idk wth ppl r talking about when they refer to numbered bases. dont even bother memorizing them.

Perhaps bases could have both a nice military style designation code and a memory friendly alias...
As for bases named after actual players i think it would be fair if contributing mappers got mentioned this way. Few people ever read the Quests and even fewer read the credits.
