Room A11-Alpha (one of the few rooms for solo) isn't usable since Pheng always (3 times in a row) revives inside, even if there's much room outside. For the moment, I've only been able to finish (in normal mode) at top right.
Apart from that "bug" version 6 is great, much more fun. Nice work.

pheng will only revive inside if the closest available space for him to revive is indeed inside your base.

If you kill all units which reach your base quickly, this is not an issue and revives exactly where he died, you can also fill up ALL gaps inside your base with units/towers and it will then be extremely hard and require a huge wave of creeps stacked up to get him to spawn inside.

Unless he is spawning inside with no creeps anywhere near where he died, it is NOT a bug, just killing him at a bad time, clear the other creeps FIRST!

I know all this but pheng is ruining 50% of my games and I don't see the point of this "feature". Just got bitten again on another spot where there was only 4 other creeps around pheng. So for me, it IS a bug (the purpose was not to have a boss spawning INSIDE your base). So ok, I will fill the gaps until pheng dies and then destroy these fake buildings but it's a workaround, not the way to play a game (it's boring, uninteresting). FS is a long game and having a solid base being ruined after 20mn because of something you can do nothing against is just bad for the game itself.

Nothing about? I'm sure there's other ways to counter that.

Your Hero in most occasions can deal with it:
If I was a Rocketeer Hero, I'd clear the way with high leveled Rocketstorm when he dies, or Grenades up to 3 times, or Nuke.
If I was a Marine Hero, I'd throw 2 high leveled Grenades or Summon Marines and blink them where Pheng died, and blink them back out when Pheng is about to revive.
If I was a Tinker, I'd go into Robo-Tinker form and blink right where Pheng died, and tank that spot for 6 seconds, blink back out for Pheng to revive.
If I was a Shadow Sniper, I'd go metamorph and adrenaline all out on the monsters as soon as possible.

If not, there is Basing Strategy:
  • Leave no large gaps anywhere near your walls
  • Get 1 upgraded Arkane tower and focus fire Pheng (mana drain), 2 is good too, I usually go for 2, but for Pheng's case, you only need 1 to render his Reincarnation useless.
  • Up tower life/regen/mech-life, etc, use Mercs (Medium Marines), and even if Pheng is in your base, he can be dealt with


But anyways, we are receiving too much negative feedback on this issue so Pheng and Blood Abomination's Reincarnation will be removed for 6.00D.

Thanks for your answer. I'll look at arkane towers. building random walls to occupy the map is counter productive for entertainement IMHO.
Good news recincarnation is being removed, I don't think it will have any negative effect on the game (it's quite hard already ;-) )
