The Claim system is designed to help Players claim a base where they want to build and take control of the units inside that base.
This is extremely useful because other players cannot build inside that players base.
The player must type -share (color) or -share all to allow other players to build inside otherwise all structures of other players would be destroyed.
Claiming a Base also has a major benefit of being able to kick other players should they attempt to get in your way.
You can banish players from your base by typing -exile (color) which sends all their units to the Middle and destroys any buildings.
If you no-longer wish to share you base, you can always type -unshare (color).
Lastly, you can -unclaim a base in favor of picking a new base.
